The Berlin band The Morning Stars is made up of a team of veteran musicians, including Barbara Morgenstern on synths and vocals. Felix Müller-Wrobel (Kante, Sport) on guitar and vocals. Alex Paulick (Kreidler, Coloma) is on fretless bass and vocals and Sebastian Vogel (Kante, Britta) on drums.
The Berlin collective has recently released “Endless Summer”, a new take on “summertime blues about urban life in the age of climate change.” This is based on the record-breaking heatwaves become an almost annual certainty. The sonic effects on the album even suggest heat and the shimmer of it on asphalt.
“Endless Summer” reaches for “the uneasy beauty of a season that no longer feels entirely innocent.” The song is “a soundtrack for overheated cities and uncertain futures.”
“Endless Summer” follows the band’s debut album A Hymn Without a Sound and the stand-alone single “Down To Earth”. With a blend of Krautrock, Post-Punk, Dub and melodic Indie Pop, The Morning Stars continue to craft songs that are “politically aware.”
