“Little Bit Of Shine” From Nathan Evans Fox Looks At The Road Behind And The One Still Ahead

North Carolina–bred, Nashville-based indie Country artist Nathan Evans Fox has released “Little Bit of Shine,” the latest single from his forthcoming LP, Heirloom, due May 29, 2026, via Free Dirt Records. A “reflection on ambition, comparison, and creative identity,” the track conveys Fox’s perspective as a working musician, “taking stock of the road behind and the one still ahead.”

Fox shares:

Every musician has to have a song about paying their dues, and this is mine. The initial impetus of this song was seeing buddies of mine blow up and headline a festival in my hometown on their way to selling out arenas. Seeing their success (and remembering when they offered me a spot in their band), I took away a renewed clarity about what has frustrated me in my music career and what opportunities I have talked myself out of.

He adds:

I’m pretty proud of the swamp mud on that banjo lick going into the instrumental.

Fox will celebrate the release of Heirloom with a hometown show at The Basement in Nashville on May 30 with Stephanie Lambring opening.
