Detroit area Ska Punk band, The Boy Detective, have released the new track and video “Good Year”. It explores ways in which to counter overwhelm and focusing on the things that we can control.
They suggest that “By looking inward and working on yourself, you’ll be on your way to having a pretty good year in no time.”
“Good Year” is the band’s second single off their upcoming full-length album, Disco Lunch, releasing this November 7th, 2025.
Benny Capaul (vocals) says:
Just when you thought that the person in the mirror can’t change for the best, The Boy Detective gives you a template for how to turn things around and have a…pretty good year. With all the garbage the world has to offer, we must find hope in the future by changing what we can, ourselves.

Disco Lunch will arrive in limited-edition color variations of 12″ 140 gram vinyl and a limited edition Picture disc from Punkerton Records. CD editions are also available.
Benny Capaul adds about the album:
When we say we threw everything and the kitchen sink in, we meant it. Disco Lunch is ten songs that span for almost two decades. We have opened the vault, collected, and distributed these gems for you. So go ahead and take out a withdrawal on Disco Lunch, you’ll be thankful for the wait. Lets Boogie!
