Brooklyn singer/songwriter and Grammy-nominated artist, Leslie Mendelson has released her new single, “Other Girls” from her forthcoming album, After the Party. Mendelson works with Folk-Rock, Pop and Americana tones while bringing in some of the personality of her Brooklyn home.
Her fourth studio album, After the Party, was produced by the legendary Peter Asher (James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt), also the younger producer Tyler Chester (Sara Bareilles, Sara Watkins), and well as Mendelson’s longtime songwriting partner, Steve McEwan.
Recorded at friend Jackson Browne’s studio, Grove Masters in Santa Monica, CA, the album features high octane musicians such as Waddy Wachtel and John Jorgenson, bassists Leland Sklar and Derrick Anderson, and drummers Jim Keltner and Abe Rounds.

Mendelson says about the track “Other Girls”:
It’s about women empowering women. Who doesn’t love women? It’s a way of looking at conventional relationships and indulging in the fantasy. A bit of commentary on the ever-changing world we live in.
