Rocker, podcast host, songwriter and Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett has released new EP Starry Nights & Campfire Lights.

The EP features a country version of the Thin Lizzy classic “Cowboy Song” as well as an Americana rendition of Hanoi Rocks’ Glam Rock song “Don’t You Ever Leave Me”. It also includes previously unreleased live and acoustic versions of tracks from Lost At Sea, Shiflett’s album which was released last year.

Also out now online is “Live From Apogee Studio” a show originally recorded in September last year.

Shiflett last year launched a video series called Shred with Shifty where he interviews some of the guitar greats, delving into their solos and the art of playing guitar. Guests so far have included the likes of Nile RogersAlex Lifeson (Rush), Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Brad Paisley, Ace Frehley (KISS) and more. You can find out more at Volume.com/shifty.

The EP arrives just ahead of Shiflett’s headline tour across the UK and Ireland next week. In May, Shifflet will play half a dozen shows in and around the Bay Area including three stops in Napa, culminating with a solo set at the BottleRock Festival on May 24
