Rock group Barenaked Ladies has returned with their single + video “Lovin’ Life.” Described as “An ode to the joy of living and finding happiness in the present moment,” the track is the first new music from the band since 2021.
Recorded at Noble Street Studios in Toronto, “Lovin’ Life” was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Eric Ratz and was written by Ed Robertston, Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra), and Steve Aiello (Thirty Seconds to Mars).
BNL frontman Ed Robertson says:
I find myself in a reflective place. Feeling real gratitude and contentment. This was a fun song to write, and it’s been amazing to see the crowds reacting to it. We’re Lovin’ Life!
The track’s video was directed by Edward Pond of exclusive footage from the recording studio and their current Last Summer on Earth 2023 American Tour, where the band has been performing “Lovin’ Life” every night live.
The Barenaked Ladies are currently on their 7th almost-annual summer tour. The band is playing three dozen shows all over the United States through July with two direct support acts: American bands Semisonic (June 2-June 26) and Five for Fighting (June 28-July 22), as well as Scottish rockers Del Amitri, who are opening all shows.
