Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and actor Sarah Grace White has announced a run of dates supporting Chicago Indie trio DEHD this October. She’ll also be playing a hometown headlining show at Genghis Cohen on May 6th, 2023. White has also released a new video for “Here” off of this year’s Are You Here This Time EP.
White explains:
My good friend Yana Yatsuk (the director) and I set out to create a video for ‘Here’ that did well to compliment the song’s urgency and theme of ecstatic change. We wanted something haunting and beautiful, so we shot in Ojai with our Director of Photography, Corey Waters, who is a sorcerer with film. The effects he was able to create combined a lot of our influences: classic Americana, 90’s movies, and a subtle, sexy ghost story.
With a multidisciplinary background in acting, piano, writing, and voice, Sarah Grace White is especially interested in how different mediums intersect. She has spent the years since studying acting in college working in theater and television (appearances on Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, The Bastard Executioner), and writing music in any free time. When the world and the industry paused, she turned to songwriting and released a debut EP.
On Are You Here This Time, White “reaches for something, anything, to hold onto in the dark.” The EP was co-Produced with Jorge Babli (Sharon Van Etten, Olivia Kaplan).
