Los Angeles, CA Rock band The Bayonets have released a lyric video for their latest single “Post Apocalypso.” The track is now available digitally and as a 7″ single (with A-side “Argentina”) via Wicked Cool Records.

Ray says:

Our new song, Post Apocalypso, is about romance in a world gone mad. inspired by songs like ‘Save The Last Dance For Me“ by the Drifters and ‘Something Stupid’ by Frank and Nancy Sinatra.

Oliver and I had a track on the back burner which we had never finished, and I had the idea that we might be able to do something cool with it. We’re really happy about the way it turned out.

The group, consisting of core members Brian Ray (Paul McCartney, Etta James), Oliver Leiber (son of songwriter Jerry Leiber) and Lucrecia López Sanz, is often rounded out by a revolving roster of musicians, including but not limited to Adam MacDougall from The Black Crowes on keys, Davey Faragher from Elvis Costello’s band, and Scott Shriner from Weezer.

The Bayonets have released one album, Crash Boom Bang along with several singles and have appeared regularly on Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM Channel 21. The band has been honored with the station’s “Coolest Song of the Week” on seven separate occasions.
