David Kushner’s ‘Elk Grove’ Portrays The Struggle Between Love And Loss

Singer/songwriter David Kushner has shared his new single, Elk Grove“, alongside a music video. The track delves into an ambiguous relationship situation that eventually becomes painfully clear.

He comments:

In ‘Elk Grove,’ I’m trying to paint a vivid picture of the struggle between love and loss in the lives of two individuals, one of whom ultimately comes to terms with the inescapable reality of their parting.

Produced by Hayd and Sarcastic Sounds, “Elk Grove” is the first song from Kushner’s forthcoming debut album, Daylight, which arrives April 14th, 2023. For the album, Kushner joins forces with a number of artists and Producers, including The Lumineers’ Wesley Schultz, David Baron (Matt Maeson, Shania Twain), and Rob Kirwan (Hozier, PJ Harvey, U2).

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago and currently based in Los Angeles, Kushner previously released debut EP, Footprints I Found.

Kushner took to the stage on tours alongside LAUV, festival appearances, and his own sold-out headline showcases. A wide range of international live dates are slated for the coming weeks and months, including his first-ever UK headline show, set for April 10 and 11, 2023 at London’s The Grace. Additional dates – including a North American live run – will be announced soon.
