Next month, Miami’s Seafoam Walls will embark on a run of North American tour dates beginning on April 7, 2023 in support of Unknown Mortal Orchestra. That comes on the heels of guitarist/singer Jayan Bertrand’s time spent on the road opening for the Thurston Moore Group across Europe.

The band released their debut album, XVI, in 2021 via The Daydream Library Series, the house record label of Ecstatic Peace Library operated by Eva Prinz and Thurston Moore. It revealed their signature blend of Jazz, Shoegaze, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.

The name Seafoam Walls is meant to convey “a sort of pseudo-chromotherapy, suggesting a relaxed mood when one is alone with their thoughts in a seafoam green-colored room.” But the themes explored on XVI are heavy, including “self-identity, philosophy, navigating today’s crumbling social constructs”.
