Omega Infinity Heads “To The Stars” For A Look At The End Of The World

Void Metal band Omega Infinity, the project of Xenoyr (NE OBLIVISCARIS) and Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER), is now “transmitting” a cosmic new song, “To The Stars,” which is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length album, The Anticurrent. The new album arrives on February 24th, 2023.

The band comments:

This song represents the only chance for survival humanity has, as resources run low and the ever-decaying universe has exceeded its half-life. A desperate race for survival as the inevitable end of everything is looming over all our fates.

The band previously revealed a 360° VR music video for the album’s first single, “Iron Age.”

The Anticurrent brings a very different view of The Void to audiences. Rather than the “blackness of space”, the second album explores Time, from the Big Bang and the chaotic birth of the universe. The album’s focus “moves through the rise and fall of human civilization, while zooming back out to a cosmic scale to witness the inevitable end of the universe in the menacing finale”.

The album also features cover versions (SEAR BLISS and EMPEROR) and the addition of friends as guests. In order of appearance, they are Adrienne Cowan (SEVEN SPIRES/ AVANTASIA), Lindsay Schoolcraft (ANTIQVA/ ex-CRADLE OF FILTH), Andras Nagy (SEAR BLISS) and Marta J. Braun (TODTGELICHTER/ VYRE).
