Dig Into Multiple Versions Of Paul McCann’s “Lost In This Moment”

Paul McCann is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cavan, Ireland. He’s performed with Rufus Wainwright, Pugwash, The Strypes, Duncan Maitland (Picturehouse), Sandy Kelly and Nelson Bragg (Brian Wilson Band/Beach Boys), among others and has more recently been developing his solo career.

Influenced by Power Pop, Folk and Alternative Rock, McCann has announced upcoming album Alter Ego, due out in 2023, handling the subject of grief following the sudden death of his father. The album features guest appearances from a number of musicians including Jason Falkner (St. Vincent, Beck, Paul McCartney), Roger Joseph Manning Jr (Beck, Jellyfish, Air), Sylvie Lewis, Charlotte Hatherley (Ash, Bat for Lashes), Gary Lucas (Jeff Buckley, Captain Beefheart) and many others.

The single “Lost in This Moment” has been released ahead of the album, accompanied by a video which was conceived and directed by Aidan Farrelly (Bad Apple Films). The video stars McCann and actress Siobhan Aislinn, who is currently filming her first feature film Am Fear Liath.

In addition to an Album Version and Radio Edit, there are also two additional versions of “Lost in this Moment”. “The Crypto Karma Remix” is a reimagining of the song by Crypto Karma, and there’s a live version of the single from Third Man Records’ Recording Booth in Nashville. Third Man Records is an independent record label founded by Jack White.

Following two EPs (The Magician in 2015 and Beginning to End in 2017) and the murder ballad single “Widow Maker Blues”, McCann released his debut album Here Comes the Rapture in 2018.
