Los Angeles band Dustbowl Revival has returned new track, “Lying To Myself”, following a line-up addition. The new single is a “dark love song” that reflects on the difficulties one faces when they cannot accept that a relationship is over. The track will appear on Dustbowl Revival’s forthcoming digital EP, Set Me Free, out on October 28th, 2022, via AntiFragile Music.

The song is actually popular in live performance, but there has never been a studio recording of “Lying To Myself”. Producer Ted Hutt (Old Crow Medicine Show, The Devil Makes Three, Dropkick Murphys), came across a demo and encouraged the members of the band to revisit the song. The group took the opportunity to expand the arrangement and change up vocal performances for a fresh new version.

In January 2020, Dustbowl Revival released their genre-bending album Is It You, Is It Me, but touring for the album was halted by the pandemic. Now, with the addition of Lashon Halley, bandmembers include Z. Lupetin (vocals/guitar) and Josh Heffernan (drums/percussion), along with help from Ulf Bjorlin (trombone), Stephen Musselman (guitar/pedal steel), Yosmel Montejo (bass) and Leider Chapotin (trumpet).
