Canadian Psychedelic Rock band The Brandy Alexanders release their second single, “Conventional Lie”, on November 5th, arriving from their self-titled album due out December 10 via Gypsy Soul Records. The new song is “about how to better educate yourself, rather than blindly believing in misconceptions. It’s about people who have strong irrational beliefs” .

The band comments on their surreal album cover art and how it gels with their sound:

“Our album cover by Dave Krovblit is called ‘Radiation Siamese Twins’. Dave is a phenomenal artist from California and after listening to our record, he picked this piece as the cover of our record which fits well with our spacy sound and the album closer ‘Spaceppus.”

Brothers Alex and Daniel Dick often write and demo most of the parts before bringing the songs to Sean Shepherd (Lead Guitar), Zack Vivier (Bass), and Robbie Cervi (Drums) in the band.

For those who might be curious, the band takes their name from “an unassuming cocktail that got John Lennon and Harry Nilsson ejected from The Troubadour in West Hollywood after a few too many”.
