Swedish Punk band Wolfbrigade have revealed new single, “Doomrunner.” The track comes from the band’s album, Howl From Underground, set for release on October 9th, 2026, through Metal Blade Records.

The band comments on the new song:

The universe owes us nothing. That’s where “Doomrunner” begins. What keeps us moving anyway? Maybe not hope. Maybe instinct.

Following 2024’s Life Knife Death, Swedish Punk-Metal band Wolfbrigade have created their “fullest” album yet. On their twelfth LP (the first three released under the Wolfpack moniker, 1996-99), the band decided to “shake up their habitual processes” and do things differently.

The band explains:

As the songs started to fall into place, we decided to do something we hadn’t done in many years. For the last decade we’ve recorded, produced, and mixed our albums ourselves. This time we wanted to work with someone from outside the band whose work we respect and who we felt would understand what WOLFBRIGADE is about.

The honor fell to Lawrence Mackrory, already a trusted collaborator with the likes of Meshuggah, Katatonia, Paradise Lost, and Bloodbath, working at Necromorbus Studio, the converted Baptist church where Watain and Mayhem refined their albums.

The band recalls:

Recording it was a reminder of what WOLFBRIGADE is at its most fundamental level. Instead of taking a break afterwards, we moved almost straight into working on Howl From Underground, and began developing ideas that had always been embedded in the concept of lycanthro punk.
