Afrobeat singer, songwriter, activist, and youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti, alongside his orchestra Egypt 80, have announced their new studio album, Na Dem, arriving on November 6, 2026.

The album was recorded across four continents and creative hubs, including Lagos, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, London, and the United States, and Produced by Femi Koleoso (bandleader of Ezra Collective). Na Dem is a “fierce critique of contemporary political and social decay.”

Kuti condenses his message on the project to the following:

We are living in times where corruption tries to define our reality. This album is a call to resist, to stay awake, and to hold onto humanity. 

Kuti has also shared the new single “DJB.” The song “reflects on how darkness threatens to overwhelm contemporary society.” 

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 will be playing two special dates in the United States next month: My Life in Movement on October 9 in Los Angeles at The Regent Theater, and on October 14 in New York City at Webster Hall. Tickets and more information are available here.
