The band Schandmaul have previously announced their new album, Sternensegler, set for release on September 11, 2026, via Napalm Records, and now the band have revealed the album’s title track along with its accompanying music video. With their twelfth studio album, the German Folk-Rock band are opening a new chapter in the band’s history, as Sternensegler marks their first album featuring vocalist Till Herence.

The title track for this new chapter is filled with “hope and optimism, creating an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere.”

The band says about the new single:

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We’ve got a tailwind and are finally taking off again. Wherever this journey takes us, we’re on board together and ready for whatever lies ahead.

They add about the new album:

Our Sternensegler rises powerfully like a phoenix from the ashes—and that same strength is reflected in these new songs. They symbolize rebirth and are a sign of unity and friendship. That’s how you deal with setbacks. Giving up was never an option for us. Let’s look ahead and set sail for new horizons!

Sternensegler also comes with additional cargo: the bonus album included in some editions contains instrumental harp versions of seven songs, as well as the previously released “Räuber und Narren” (Engl. “outlaws and fools”), a collaboration with fellow medieval rock band Subway To Sally.
