Singer/songwriter Jessie Wilson builds on a Country sound, and leans into Americana. Her upcoming EP, Running out of G.A.S., showcases her sense of growth and a new fearlessness in her music. The title track and its accompanying video are out now, and the video gives a glimpse of life behind the scenes in music.

Wilson says about the video:

This video tells the story of the GRIND. The not-so-pretty behind the scenes stuff that happens along this music journey: when people ignore you when you’re performing, when you’re singing to an empty room, when you run out of gas and have to figure it out and you put in all that work to get to the gig just to make a couple bucks.

While all of that stuff may happen from time to time, you still love what you do and I think this video shows that. love that I got to go back home to Alabama and make this video.

Wilson shares about her new EP:

Running Out of G.A.S. is a contrast to my first project. This project has more grit and attitude to it. These new songs have a burst of energy and newfound life and voice. I’ve grown tremendously as a songwriter, performer, and person, and this EP showcases a new level of confidence and fearlessness. I’ve been through some things, and I think a lot of that growth is displayed throughout this second EP.
