Wormy is the moniker of New York singer/songwriter Noah Rauchwerk. He has announced his new LP, Shark River, out January 16th, 2026 via Rose Garden. He’s also shared the lead single “Give Up,” which was co-Produced by Samia and Renny Conti. It is also accompanied by a Blair Witch Project-inspired music video.
He explains:
It’s about giving up; about how maybe drinking your life away would be fine because maybe dying early and happy isn’t bad. And how sometimes you feel the most hopeful in the darkest times.
Wormfest 3, the third edition of Rauchwerk’s annual fest, will take place at Brooklyn, NY’s The Sultan Room on October 12th. The show will feature performances from Wormy, Hudson Freeman, Horsepower, Hank Heaven, and Teenage Halloween, with more to be announced.
Shark River finds Rauchwerk “embracing vulnerability” with songs that “explore loneliness, heartbreak, and the comforting but ultimately doomed escapism of life on the road.”
His work as a touring drummer for artists such as Samia, Willow Avalon, and Renny Conti has offered him very little stability, but plenty of time for reflection.
He explains:
I’m home and I’m away from home. And every time, I promise myself ‘When I’m home, I’ll finally do this.’ Or ‘When I’m back on tour, I’ll finally do that.’
This sense of lacking a permanent home permeates much of Rauchwerk’s own music as Wormy, the artist project he’s been writing for since 2021. This comes to a head on his second album, Shark River.
