New York based Rock/Americana artist Alex Cano has released his new single, “Doin’ It Wrong,” featuring slide guitar.
The song “started as a toast between long time friends” and became “an affirming Rock anthem.” The song’s lyrical mantra is: “If you don’t enjoy the ride, you’re doin’ it wrong.”
Executive Produced by Cano and mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Ted Jensen (American Idiot), the song is “a reminder to find joy even in the midst of chaos.”
Cano has always been inspired by humor, particularly the self-depricating kind.
He says:
At the time I wrote this, I was in complete burnout. This one was a bit sarcastic. A song of humility, reminding yourself not to take it all so seriously. This song got me through a period of my life where I really needed to take a breath and trust the process. The world is crazy right now, and there are a lot of us out there treading water. Rising tides raise all ships.

The release of the new track coincides with Cano’s headlining single release show at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY, tonight. He will perform with a full band, and it will include unreleased songs from Cano’s upcoming second record.
