Classic Thrash Metal band Megadeth have unveiled “Tipping Point”, which is the first single and video from their forthcoming, self-titled, and final album due out in 2026. It arrives via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
The song explores the idea of reaching one’s limits. In the “desolate but hopeful” video, directed by Leonardo Liberti, we see that Mustaine is locked up in a prison being tortured while the band performs in the same prison. In the end, Mustaine “walks away into a new day.”
Mustaine says about the song and video:
We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day. I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.

Megadeth’s current lineup consists of Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari (lead, rhythm, and acoustic guitars), James LoMenzo (bass guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (drums), and their self-titled album will arrive in 2026. It’s available for pre-order HERE.

The forthcoming album will also be part of an extensive farewell tour from the band. Also set for 2026 is a new memoir from Dave Mustaine, details of which will be revealed in the coming months.
