Bay Area singer/songwriter Forrest Day has released the new single “Paint The Walls” alongside an official music video from his album Right On Time, due on October 10, 2025.

Lyrically, “Paint The Walls” takes the form of stream of consciousness and “touches on the absurdity of modern life” while urging you to “paint the walls whatever color that you like, wake up the spirit that the weak undermine.”

He shares about the video:

“The footage in the music video comes from home videos of the people I grew up around. Growing up, the world outside my family seemed stale and, they had a vibrancy I never saw anywhere else. These moments my dad captured remind me how beautiful life is, how beautiful we were.

It also reminds me how much technology has taken from us. Above all its taken us from the moment. Watching the home videos and compiling them brought many tears….that this is exactly what the song is all about: love and freedom, preserving it the best we can.

Life beats us all down, but somewhere in us is that place of innocence, love, and the ability to have fun and enjoy each other. I am what I am because of the people in this video. I love you all. RIP to the ones gone, I miss you always. You live in my heart and I’m forever grateful.”

Forrest Day will hit the road on September 16 in Charleston at the Music Farm with Allen Stone through September 21 in Knoxville at Mill and Mine. He returns to the West Coast for headlining dates on September 26 in Napa and October 11 in San Francisco.
