After 15 years, Atlanta Rock trio Dropsonic has returned with an upcoming self-titled album. “This Ain’t Living”, the third single from their album, is out now. Co-Produced by the band and Alice In Chains frontman William DuVall, the album is set for release on May 16th, 2025 via Spartan Records.

Frontman Dan Dixon describes the new track as a fitting finale to the album:

‘This Ain’t Living’ closes out the record. It ends with the final death rattle of my echoplex as the tape inside chokes on itself. Not a bad sound.

The band continues to resist digital Production to deliver something visceral and raw.

DuVall, who provided guidance throughout the process, recalls:

Dan had been sending me works-in-progress for feedback, but the real joy was being there to watch him work. Dropsonic is one of the best rock bands to come out of America in the last thirty years.

The album’s lyrics “dive into themes of desperation, love, addiction, narcissism, and money.”
