Canadian-American Ambient Pop artist Hollie Kenniff has released her new album, For Forever. This marks her fourth full-length and spans Electronic and Acoustic element. For Forever is titled to reflect its origin, comprised of material written and recorded over the last several years, dating back to 2021.
For Forever follows last year’s release, We All Have Places That We Miss, and the artist continues to build on her sound in the more than 15 years since her days in the Electronic Pop outfit Mint Julep with her husband Keith Kenniff.
Hollie Kenniff shares:
I work on music almost every day, and it’s an extremely important part of my life. I’m always focusing on themes of human emotion and the natural world.
My hope is that my music encourages others to explore their inner landscapes and to inspire reflection. I want my music to be a musical backdrop for meaningful and transformative moments in other people’s lives.
The album has collaboration from husband Keith appears via both of his monikers, specifically, as Helios on “Amare” and Goldmund for “Esperance.” The title track even features Hollie’s 11-year-old son on piano. The family connection extends to the track “Over Ocean Waves”, which draws inspiration from their repeated trips to Prince Edward Island over the years and its deep tranquility.
