Badlands Releases Theater-Born Swedish Language Track “Ack E45”

Electronic composer and musician Catharina Jaunviksna a.k.a Badlands created original compositions for a play in her native Sweden that have resulted in her first Swedish language song release, titled “Ack E45”.

The song takes its name from E45 – a traveling drama written by author Marit Kapla, which just had its premiere in Hagateatern, Gothenburg, Sweden. The play which will move up to Strindbergs Intima Theatre in Stockholm in November. The work on the play marks Badlands’ fifth play as a composer.

The song has a “strong touch of Swedish folk” to it and the name “Ack E45” is a paraphrase on the traditional Swedish song “Ack Värmland”, referring to the longest highway in Sweden, and in Europe, E45.
