The history-minded French Black Metal band Seth will be releasing their eighth album, the Revolution-inspired La France des Maudits, on Bastille Day, July 14, 2024 via Season of Mist. They have recently revealed their third single “Insurrection.”

They describe “Insurrection” as “a hymn of the damned that heralds the dawn of a new era, where the chains of servitude are shattered and the throbbing heart of revolution is laid bare.”    

On their new single, Seth intends to “speak for pariahs, the decried and those heretics who are cast out from the grace of a callous heaven.”

Lyrically, La France des Maudits focuses on “condemned men and the blood of saints,” narrating an “epic saga of rebellion from the ashes of a fallen Notre-Dame.”
