The Maine-based trio The Ghost of Paul Revere has released new single “Twist,” a bonus track that will appear on the 10th anniversary edition of their album Believe. A limited edition repressing of the album will be available on a commemorative ‘Bandana’ white vinyl via Regime Music Group in August.
“Twist” invites listeners to “let loose and unwind,” offering an “escape from the mundane.” Beginning with an a cappella introduction, banjo, and vocals, the track turns into a danceable experience.
The trio comprised of Max Davis (vocals, banjo), Sean McCarthy (vocals, bass), and Griffin Sherry (vocals, guitar) creates a unique distillation of Folk, Bluegrass, Rock, and Alternative. Their most recent albums are Field Notes, Vol. 1 (2015) and Field Notes, Vol. 2 (2019).
The band has performed alongside The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, The Revivalists, Bela Fleck, and The Infamous Stringdusters, and appeared at major festivals nationwide.
The group took home “Best in Maine” at the New England Music Awards twice, in 2015 and 2019. In 2019, their song, “Ballad Of The 20th Maine”, became the official State Ballad of Maine.
