George Ducas And Pete Anderson Team Up For ‘Long Way From Home’

Grammy-nominated Country music singer and songwriter George Ducas is known for recording his own hit songs, and having written songs for George Jones, Garth Brooks, The Chicks, and Trisha Yearwood.

Ducas has recently announced his upcoming LP, Long Way From Home, out June 21st, 2024. For Long Way From Home, Ducas combines an early Bakersfield Country sound and Los Angeles’ Honky-Tonk traditions. The single “Hello Fool” is out now.

Ducas says about the influences on the new track:

I realized a while back, somewhere between cutting my teeth on Willie Nelson’s ‘Bloody Mary Mornin’ and Buck Owens’ ‘Act Naturally,’ that I really hold to that song style as my center of gravity.

Long Way From Home was produced by multi-platinum, Grammy-winning producer Pete Anderson.

Anderson comments on the album:

Country music is one of those sounds that needs to hit the bullseye to matter. Anything short of that just flies by and doesn’t much matter. And that’s the thing about George Ducas’ songs when I first heard them: they nailed me to the wall. The man had such heart-tugging emotions in what he did that there was no way to ignore him. It’s like he reached right out and grabbed me and shook me around. I had to listen.

Ducas takes the stage this weekend in San Antonio for the Fiesta Oyster Bake 2024, and a full list of tour dates can be found at georgeducas.com/tour
