London-born Cosmo Sheldrake has shared two new singles “Interdimensional” and “I Stitched My Mind Back To My Body”, both of which will appear on his second studio album Eye to the Ear, due out April 12, 2024 via Tardigrade Records.
On the new tracks, Cosmo says:
‘Interdimensional’ felt as though it came almost in one long thought, but it took about four all-night sessions for it to emerge. It is another one that came to me while on a solo musical retreat in Somerset. It is about the feeling of losing the normal sense of self, and features the wonderful HOWL.
‘I Stitched My Mind Back To My Body’ was the first song I recorded from start to finish in my new studio. It started with me shuffling around stomping and clapping trying to find the best sweet spot on the floor for a good stomp. I like how much the sound of the space itself is present. It is a song about attempting to fuse the body and mind after centuries of unsuccessful attempts to prise them apart.
Eye to the Ear is the follow-up to Cosmo’s first full-length album, The Much Much How How and I (2018). Eye to the Ear sees Cosmo move from ballads arranged for a nine-piece female and non-binary choir (HOWL) to polyphonic songs that have grown out of field recordings of curlews, whales, fish, and frogs.
This is a continuation of Cosmo’s work with the rhythms and tones of the living world that he explored on Wake Up Calls (2020) and Wild Wet World (2023).

Eye to the Ear was produced by Cosmo and mixed by Dilip Harris (King Krule, Micachu, Mount Kimbie) and features 21 tracks combining traditional instrumentation, electronic production, and field recordings.
