Dublin-born and London-based interdisciplinary artist Fears (Constance Keane) has shared her new single “11249,” and its accompanying video, from her upcoming album affinity out March 22nd via TULLE. affinity will arrive digitally as well as on black vinyl and limited edition marbled pink vinyl.

Featuring Jemima Coulter and Ailbhe Reddy, “11249” was written in February of last year when Constance Keane was in New York, and the song was inspired by the city’s skyline.

The song is about “the conflicting emotions one can feel when they reflect on the sadness of their past and the joy of their present.”

Keane explains:

Sometimes you encounter things that hit you so hard you think “wow so if I had actually died a few years ago when I tried to, I’d never have gotten to see and experience this.”

The music video was directed by close friend and M(h)aol bassist Zoe Greenway and was filmed at Fears’ birthday party, capturing the narrative of celebrating of being alive to see another year.

“11249” follows “4th of the 1st,” the first single from affinity which was released along with a video directed and edited by Fears and filmed by Colleen Lee.

Following her 2021 debut album Oíche that landed in the UK vinyl album charts, Fears has crafted 10 self-produced tracks that make up affinity. Drawing on “human connection, intimacy, and
moments of peace in a city,” the songs were written and recorded between London, New York,
and Dublin.

Fears is also  a founding member of Feminist Punk band M(h)aol and her fashion design has been featured in publications such as Vogue Italia, The Sunday Independent, Irish Country Magazine, STELLAR Magazine, and more.
