Empty Country, the project of musician Joseph D’Agostino (Cymbals Eat Guitars), has released their sophomore LP, Empty Country II, out now on Get Better Records (US) / Tough Love Records (UK).

In anticipation of Empty Country II, D’Agostino shared a handful of singles including: “Pearl“, “Erlking“, “David“, and “Dustine“. Now, they have also released the track “Syd.” In the Empty Country universe, Syd is Pearl’s ex and the track explores painful memories.

On the track, D’Agonisto writes:

‘Syd’ is about being emotionally abused by a person who ‘remembers it differently.’

To celebrate the new LP, Empty Country will perform at Oslo Hackney in London on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
