Singer/songwriter and guitarist Daniel Donato has released new track “Hi-Country”, off his upcoming sophomore album Reflector, out November 10th, 2023 via Retrace Music.“Hi-Country” is intentionally an uplifting track.

Donato says:

There is a fine line between what is real and what is your imagination, but yet, both inform each other. ‘Hi-Country,’ is a symbol of this strange ever-present duality in life. It is a place that you are en route to physically, yet spiritually, you are already there. Life is but a day’s work, and ‘you got all day to make it true…’ in the Hi-Country.

Reflector is Donato’s first collection of all original material and focuses on the idea of Cosmic Country. Reflector was produced by multi- Grammy Award winning producer/engineer/mixer Vance Powell (White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Stapleton). It’s the follow up to Donato’s 2020 independent debut, A Young Man’s Country.

In 2022 Donato and his band, including Nathan Aronowitz (keyboards/vocals), Will McGee (bass/vocals) and Noah Miller (drums and percussion), performed over 220 shows.

In 2023, they have performed with Widespread Panic and recently joined Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann as a member of his band Billy & The Kids for multiple dates. Billy Strings recently joined Donato and company on stage at the Double E Performance Center in Vermont where the two guitarists played together.
