Tokyo-based Australian artist Tex Crick will release his new album Sweet Dreamin’ on October 13th, 2023 on Mac’s Record Label. He released lead single “Easy Keepers” last month has now revealed the track “Barefoot Blues”.
As the title might suggest, the song is infused with elements of Hawaiian guitar and Soft Rock, but also ventures into Piano-Pop.
Crick says:
I was listening to Hawaiian music at the time and I guess it found its way into my psyche. It’s a tale of a reminiscing drunk exaggerating fond memories with a long lost lover.
Crick was the first artist signed to Mac DeMarco’s record label and is following up his debut with a stripped-back collection of piano-led arrangements.
In his career so far, Crick has already shared stages with Weyes Blood, Kirin J. Callinan, John Carroll Kirby, Connan Mockasin and Iggy Pop.
