D.C. Shoegaze outfit Day Aches have released new single “Everything Blu” and its accompanying music video. The release comes as a prelude to their forthcoming LP, One Last Dream Before Dying, scheduled for release on September 19th, 2023 via Really Rad Records. They have also announced East Coast tour dates and Fest appearance with Dosser.
Emerging from the Virginia/DC Hardcore scene, the band focuses on a “mosaic of emotion” through using “introspective and dynamic soundscapes.”
Their debut LP, One Last Dream Before Dying explores the “landscapes of decay, growth, and transformation.” Each track on the explores the “emotions that accompany the unraveling of relationships and the passage of time.”
Vocalist Drew Lambert says about the track:
What started as a riff from our bassist Brady, quickly evolved into a fully-fledged song after a few writing sessions between him and I. This might make it the most collaborative effort on the album and it’s also Brady’s first contribution since joining the band. This serves as another great mix of inspirations that really pushes the sound of Day Aches further along.
