Hardcore label Bridge Nine Records has announced the signing of Long Island band HeavyHex. Since forming in 2021, the band have been blending melodic and post-Hardcore elements. Drawing inspiration from bands like Mindset, Have Heart, and Title Fight, HeavyHex has crafted a sound that combines aggressive and melodic guitar elements with emotive lyrics.
The band has been building a following in New York and beyond since the self-release of their debut EP, Stare, in April 2022. Their live show has allowed them to share the stage with acts like Silent Majority, Militarie Gun, Soul Glo, and I Am The Avalanche.
HeavyHex just wrapped up recording their debut album, True To You, in the studio with Jay Maas (Defeater), with a release date yet to be announced. The album will “dive deep into personal struggles, societal issues, and the demand for equality.”
On signing HeavyHex, Bridge Nine owner Chris Wrenn states:
The entire Bridge Nine team is thrilled to be working with HEAVYHEX. Listening to their EP, I got the same feeling I did when I first heard Have Heart and Defeater, and knew they were meant to join the Bridge Nine family. I can’t wait to release their new album and see everyone at their upcoming shows singing along to their compelling songs.
HeavyHex is Daniel Lukach (Guitar & Vocals), David Gastiaburo (Vocals), Kevin Finamore (Bass & Vocals), Jeremy Gardiner (Guitar), and Michael DiLello (Drums).
HeavyHex have shows coming up:
