The Harlem Gospel Travelers Hark Back To A Time Of Gospel Funk By Covering The Mighty Walker Brothers

The Harlem Gospel Travelers are back a cover of The Mighty Walker Brothers’ “God’s Been Good To Me.” The sound and the original era of the song, along with its possibilities, inspired the group to choose the cover. The Harlem Gospel Travelers have extensive touring plans this summer and Fall coming up.

Band member and track co-Producer Thomas Ifedayo Gatling says:

It’s a song that represents a time in music that not many people recognize. A time in which Gospel Funk took over and was burning up radios, TVs and dance floors. Music like this pioneered and created space for artists like us. To sink our teeth into this banger of a song was so fulfilling. The high energy of the music… matched with the big vocals… it fills you with the spirit so much. You can’t help but to get up and dance.
