Eve Simpson is a songwriter, storyteller, and collaborative community artist from South Shields in Northern England who also grew up and lives in the region of Edinburgh. Written between those two places, her upcoming EP seeks inspiration from Joni Mitchell and songwriter like Laura Marling and Carole King.

Funded by Youth Music’s NextGen Fund, Simpson’s All Her Strange EP is an exploration of “love, growth, misogyny, grief, and heartbreak.” It arrives this month and will be combined with an April UK tour.

In addition to previous tours with Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Eve has debuted her new live material at Edinburgh Hogmanay Festival, Sofar Sounds (Glasgow, Edinburgh), Sneaky Pete’s Edinburgh Fringe Showcase, and Virgin Media Hotels.

All Her Strange is described as a “deep, personal piece of introspection.” It encourages one to embrace “differences, quirks, and weirdness” as well as “imperfections.”
