Whitechapel has just unveiled the new music video for the song “I Will Find You” off their October 29, 2021 release Kin. Kin, their seventh studio album, will be available on CD, vinyl, as a limited imported Box Set, digitally, and via streaming from Metal Blade Records.

The opener track, “I Will Find You”, is out now and takes place right after the last track off previous album The Valley, “Doom Woods”, and depicts Bozeman “entering into his life” following the events on the last album. The video was shot and produced by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye Visuals.

With Bozeman exploring childhood trauma on The Valley, it was their darkest release so far, but its successor, which continues the story told on that record, is darker still. The album title pertains to relatives, which is what the album is about, but the deeper meaning behind this “plays into the idea that the vocalist’s alternate reality/persona is his kin as well.”

Bozeman shares about the new track and video:

It’s a fictional representation of a non-fictional story. I’m coming from a ‘what if’ standpoint. I’m also representing it in a way that conveys a more deep and dark frame of mind. This is all about what I could’ve been, had I decided to take the dark road. For the sake of storytelling, there are supernatural elements in play here as well. I am being followed by my alternate reality/evil self. It’s the part of me that can’t let go and will go to any heights to find the real me and pull me back into the dark past that I want to move on from.

The band is preparing to hit the road on a US headlining tour where the band will perform their 2019 full-length, The Valley, in its entirety. The month-long trek begins on April 14th in Atlanta, Georgia and runs through May 13th in Nashville, Tennessee. Support will be provided by Archspire, Signs Of The Swarm, and labelmates, Entheos.

In other news, Whitechapel will be performing at Louder Than Life Festival, held September 21-24 in Louisville, KY.

The new record was mixed by David Castillo, mastered by Ted Jensen, and Produced by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder).
