London-based, internationally assembled female instrumental band Los Bitchos have announced the release of PAH!, a new two track EP out now, and 7” released mid-March via City Slang to coincide with their upcoming UK and European tour as special guests of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard .

PAH! features a cover of “Tequila”, originally by The Champs, which has become a favourite during Los Bitchos’ live shows, backed with a reworking of King Gizzard’sTrapdoor”.

The band shares the following about the covers:

We love King Gizzard and “Trapdoor” was a song of theirs that stood out for a cover choice. It was that repetitive hook of “Trapdoor, trapdoor, trapdoor” that we found so compelling and trippy. It also translates great to a guitar hook! Our version starts off feeling like a hazy summer’s day and escalates in a frantic tempo change that suggests all is not what it seems and trouble could be brewing… Hehe…

Tequila has been the joyfully unhinged ending to our set for the past year. It always feels like it could fall apart at any moment and we wanted to capture that energy on the recording.

The band have also released a video for “Tequila,” with a note for caution from them:

LOS BITCHOS encourages having fun, that does not necessarily include alcohol, so please watch out for each other and take care of yourself.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard and Los Bitchos will play two London shows, on March 22nd, 2023 at Alexandra Palace and on March 23rd at The Troxy.

Los Bitchos will then head out to North America for a run of dates in April including Coachella Festival on April 23rd and Austin Psych Festival on April 30th. They have also announced UK festival dates for this year including Manchester Psych Festival, Wide Awake Festival, Spring Classic and Wilderness.
