Berlin Indie Rock/Post-Punk band Havemeyer will be releasing their first LP, Slacker, on January 5th, 2023 (digitally), and March 3rd, 2023 (on vinyl), and have recently revealed their single and video “Moonlight”. The new album focuses on “timeless” songs with a strong feeling of “suburban comfort long gone.”
Jan Ebert (formerly Jan Müller) is inspired by guitar-driven music and the songs from the new album were live recorded in rural eastern Germany. Lyrically, there’s a “romantic interweaving of friendship, love, betrayal and distance”. On the video for “Moonlight”, we see the location in which the album was recorded.
Dennis Jüngel comments:
The video for “Moonlight” was made at the same place where we recorded the first album. A remote old train station between Dresden and Berlin a kind of El Dorado for music lovers.
Dennis Jüngel, guitarist and occasional vocalist, also engineered and Produced the recordings. He brought to the project drummer Kevin Kuhn, whose band Die Nerven he has toured with doing live sound for some years now. Maik Vleurinck also brings melodic bass to the project.
