Hailing from Seattle, WA, Sun Spots create Alternative Punk with a “Pop tinge”. The band have recently announced their debut EP, Loosey, set for release on October 14th, 2022 on Happy Families in multiple formats, including vinyl.

The four song EP focuses on a heavy but uptempo Rock tracks driven by DIY ethics. On their latest single “Big Stroke”, the band leans into influence from guitar-focused heroes like Superchunk and Guided By Voices.

The band says about the track:

‘Big Stroke’ is a song about rejecting the dog eat dog mentality of capitalism and not trading your identity for rent money.”

The song follows the more Grunge-influenced “Loosey” which the band released a music video for earlier this year. Sun Spots have just wrapped up a West Coast tour with Hardcore-Punk band GAG.
