Bed Brings Alternative Shoegaze To Wiretap Records

Alternative, Shoegaze band BED have announced signing with SoCal label Wiretap Records to re-release their debut self-titled album and to prepare for new music in the coming months.

The Antelope Valley band self-released their debut album earlier this year in February, recorded with Alex Estrada at Pale Moon Ranch and mastered by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden Recording Studio. Their album blends elements of Shoegaze, 90’s Alternative, and dreamy guitar tones reflecting influences like Title Fight, Beach Goons, Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, Surf Curse and more.

The band has also announced a full US tour supporting Beach Goons, running from October 18th through November 12th. In addition, the band is on the bill for Nothing Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16 at Garden Amphitheater.

BED began as a self-titled bedroom project in 2015 by frontman Ebed “bed” Moreno. Then after being asked to play more shows, Bed finally put together a band and started playing DIY backyard shows that were put together by himself and/or others in the local music scene.

When asked about the album recording experience, Ebed Moreno comments:

I think my favorite aspect of the album would be that you finally get to hear the energy and feel we output into this project. Never in a million years could I program a drum machine to rip the way Axel does or do whatever black magic Joel does on bass. Im’ more than proud of the work we all put in and could not thank Pale Moon Ranch (FKA Pale Moon Studios) and Jack from Atomic Garden for making us sound better than we could have dreamed.
