Montreal-based Synth artist and vocalist Tess Roby has recently released sophomore album Ideas of Space via her own label, SSURROUNDSS . Roby’s songs ride the lines between Pop, Ambient and Alternative Folk structures, with “an emphasis on voice as instrument”.

Ideas of Space represents a process of moving towards full artistic independence, wherein Roby acts as songwriter, Producer, musician, music video and art director.

The new collection takes in lessons learned since Roby’s 2018 release of Beacon. She says:

All this time alone, it has taught me one thing. How to feel alive.

Ideas of Space includes collaborations with Joseph Shabason , Ouri , and Austin Tufts ( Braids). Roby has plans to perform in Canada, including rescheduled dates with Men I Trust, and Ideas of Space Record Release shows in Toronto and Montreal.
