Following a run of singles, Daisy Glaze, helmed by Louis Epstein (HITS, Jump Into The Gospel) and Alix Brown (Angry Angles w/ Jay Reatard, Golden Triangle), are releasing their debut self-titled album today via The Sound of Sinners. Along with that they have delivered their final psych-rock single with a video, “Ghost of Elvis Presley”.
In the video, Daisy Glaze take a detour to a macabre Memphis presided over by the ghost of Elvis. The duo find themselves in a world where time stands still no matter how old you are. Directed by Michele Civetta (The Gateway, Agony), who has helmed music videos for Lou Reed, Curtis Harding, Ladytron, Sean Lennon and more, the video was filmed at the nostalgic Arcade Restaurant in Memphis, TN, and features a guest appearance by the Producer Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell (Royal Studios).
Their debut album was Produced by Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, MGMT, Beach House, Iceage etc) and features 10 tracks exploring “the sinister side of prismatic love and the different hues therein”. Previous singles include “Call Me Midnight” and “Strangers In The Dark”. Daisy Glaze focus on a cinematic sound that incorporates elements of Ennio Morricone, Jack Nitzche, and the Pop of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood.
