Constant Smiles, a collective led by Ben Jones, will be releasing Paragons, their first album since signing with Sacred Bones Records, this Friday, November 12, 2021. On Paragons, the collective has brought together Shoegaze, Dream Pop, and Psych elements to create what may be a new form. Ben Greenberg’s production on the album also unveils a “subtle seventies singer/songwriter influence in the songs”.

You can check out a couple of their latest singles and videos like “The Things I Miss”:

And for “Daisy, Table For Three”:

Constant Smiles began in 2009, started by Ben Jones on his home of Martha’s Vineyard, inspired by the music scene centered around the island’s now defunct community record store, Aboveground Records. They made their live debut as a noise duo opening for Ralph White (Bad Livers) and, working in series, began churning out homemade releases influenced by friends, art film icons, and fellow musicians.

In the time since, they’ve brought out a “couple dozen releases” with contributions from more than 50 members of their extended musical family. 2019’s synth-based full-length, John Waters, helped the group to extend its reach, followed by 2020’s Control.

Constant Smiles has select live shows confirmed for this Fall, including dates with labelmate Black Marble on release:
