The Bronx recently wrapped up a U.S. tour with Dropkick Murphys and Rancid, and have followed that by releasing a limited-edition “New Lows” 7-inch, the latest in their collection of single releases from Bronx VI.
Matt Caughthran comments on the choice of the song: “Desperate times call for desperate songs. ‘New Lows’ is a last gasp for everything that isn’t meant to be.”
As the SoCal band has done with each of the previously released singles, they’ve created a companion merch collection with the artwork for both the 7-inch and merch items featuring the graphics of Orange County tattooer-turned-designer, Tokyo Hiro. Caughthran says of the collaboration: “Working with Hiro was a total honor. We are completely blown away by the artwork he created for ‘New Lows,’ it’s perfect.” Three of the 400 “New Low” vinyl collectibles will include the added bonus of an original painting by Hiro.
For other singles from the album, The Bronx have worked with artists ranging from Dogtown’s Craig Stecyk to duo DabsMyla, U.K. graffiti artist/typographer Gary Stranger, graphic designer Jeremy Dean, and director Estevan Oriol.
