Aimless, Inc. has announced Todd Snider’s song “Can Your Monkey Do the Splits?” from his posthumous album, My Second Rodeo, has been adapted into a new browser video game, playable now at toddsnider.net/splits.
Featuring original artwork by Jon Griffin and Alex Moura, the game brings Snider’s irreverent humor and fascination with television and media into an interactive world set around Nashville’s Purple Building.
Alex Moura of Aimless, Inc. explains:
Todd spent his whole career making fun of the business he was in. Making a game about the streaming business and then leaving ourselves out of it felt like cheating.
The game draws on ideas Snider explored throughout his career, including his song “Talking Reality Television Blues” and his plans for unconventional television programming, which was highlighted recently with the launch of Aimless Television. This is a “continuous channel featuring lost footage, never-before-seen performances, music videos, and more, bringing to life the television station he spent more than a decade imagining”. It also incorporates elements of his storytelling, including his well-known “Banana Story,” while extending the world of the Purple Building through original illustrations and characters.
Moura adds:
I spent years trying to get Todd on TikTok. He wouldn’t do it. The music was what mattered. So we made a game where the machine chases him, and he never even notices.

The release of the video game follows the release of Snider’s new album My Second Rodeo on October 9, just days before what would have been his 60th birthday. The 10-song collection of original songs was recorded in Fall 2025, shortly before his passing.
Longtime friend and Producer Joe Bisirri and co-Producer Robbie Crowell spent the following year completing the album, bringing Snider’s vision for the follow-up to 2025’s High, Lonesome and Then Some to life. Friends, family, and fans also recently gathered to celebrate Snider’s life and music at the Todd Snider Way Block Party on October 11th, which included the honorary naming of Nashville’s 11th Street as “Todd Snider Way.”

My Second Rodeo is available digitally, on CD, and on vinyl, including an exclusive purple vinyl available at indie record stores across Tennessee, a “synthwave” variant available through the Todd Snider Shop, a yellow variant available at other independent record stores, as well as the standard black variant.
