Nearly 40 years into his expansive career, Nicke Andersson has announced his first true solo album, Nicke Andersson and Nobody Else. Along with the album announce is the accompanying news that he has joined Sound Pollution for that release.

On this new album, Nicke can be found playing every instrument himself and Producing the album single-handedly.

As one of Sweden’s most versatile musicians, Nicke has been carving his own path since the late 80s, leaving a lasting mark on both the Swedish and international music scenes.

He started out with Nihilist in 1987, who split to form Entombed, co-founded by Nicke, who impacted Death Metal worldwide. In 1994, alongside his drumming duties in Entombed, he co-founded The Hellacopters, as being joint lead guitarist/vocalist. In 1998 he left Entombed to focus solely on The Hellacopters, who went on to become a pivotal force in Swedish Rock‘n‘Roll, introducing Nicke‘s high energy songwriting to an entirely new audience around the world.

He then proceeded to involve himself in a wide range of projects and collaborations with peers, and friends. Including The Hydromatics, The Solution, Death Breath, Imperial State Electric, and Lucifer. He also did extensive production work for many artists.

With his new solo album, there is no band and Nicke Andersson is responsible for every aspect of the record, from instrumentation and arrangements to production. It’s a record that shows “a profound love for rock music’s past, present, and future.”

The new songs “speak plainly, with intelligence and self-awareness, about ambition, exhaustion, love, and identity in a world that never slows down for anyone.”
