Chicago-based band Sleepwalk have shared their new single, “Jan 22”, the latest preview of their upcoming LP, View From The Outside, due out November 13th, 2026, via MNRK Heavy. The Dream-Pop track blends Shoegaze, 90s Alternative Rock, and Post-Hardcore.
Ryan Davis (vocals/guitar) says:
‘Jan 22’ is a love letter to winter time in the city, as well as a general celebration of life. It’s easy to focus on the bad things and miss the beauty.
View From The Outside was recorded at Hum guitarist/vocalist Matt Talbot’s studio in Tolono, IL. The album is “a journey of dramatic dynamics and nuanced moods.”
Formed in 2015, the band composed of Davis (guitar/vocals), Marcus Johnson (drums), Vic Ordonez (bass), and Tyler Gargula (guitar), has shared stages with acts such as Glassjaw, Thursday, and Nothing.

Sleepwalk will support View From The Outside with North American and European touring.
Johnson says about the band’s live shows:
There’s a lot of adrenaline going but we definitely lock into a groove. We like to make people headbang but also to give them a chance to hear everything and let the music breathe.
Davis concludes about the album:
I hope that listeners get a sense of belonging or community, and the catharsis of letting out a little bit of aggression with some of the songs. But also, with the somewhat uplifting stuff like ‘Jan 22,’ getting a really overwhelming emotional response.
