Southern Californian band Integra Pink has returned with new single “Pink Nokia”, via Futureless. The song centers around “the push and pull between two people who communicate—and connect—in very different ways”, speaking to “modern relationship dynamics.”
With this song, Integra Pink turns their attention toward “communication itself: the frustration of feeling misunderstood, the ways people express closeness differently, and what happens when two opposing attachment styles collide.”
Leo Mendez explains:
I think PINK NOKIA is a song about two people with opposing attachment styles and how that dynamic works. I know it can be frustrating for both parties when they feel as though they’re not being understood or their attachment styles are being ignored. I don’t think one style is more right than the other, but at the end of it all, a conversation always ends up fixing those feelings.
I tried to explore that idea through the lens of the early 2000s cellphone culture that was just coming in—before everyone had iPhones. Everyone had their own unique phone that would, in some way, show off their personalities. And even though no two phones looked alike, they all served the same function—to communicate.
Integra Pink moves between Punk, Alternative Rock, Latin influences, New Wave, Hardcore and beyond.

Integra Pink is about to hit the road for a run of Fall dates, beginning with four California shows alongside Drag Talk and Filth Is Eternal, including an October 10th hometown stop at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. Later in the month, the band heads out for additional dates supporting Archer Oh.
